Cyber fraud with retired IAS, Cyber crime registers FIR after 1 year

Bhopal: A case of cheating with a retired IAS has come to light in Bhopal. The accused got the ATM card blocked and transferred Rs 12 lakh to another's account. In this he was successful in withdrawing about 5 lakh rupees, while after the complaint, the police seized the remaining money. After about a year, the Cyber Cell of the Crime Branch has filed an FIR against the unknown accused under the sections of fraud.
Cyber Cell's SI Shesh Nath, who is investigating the case, said that 65-year-old Mani Jain husband Subhash Jain, living in E-7 Arera Colony, is a retired IAS. He had complained of fraud a year ago. He had told that on July 16, 2020, he got a call. The caller said that he is speaking to the bank.
He told them some information related to the account. In such a situation, he felt that he was really speaking from the bank itself. He said that his ATM card got blocked due to some technical reasons. He will take some information to restart it. After this an OTP will come on their mobile number. While talking to him, an OTP came.
