Prisoners dies in Dhar Jail, jail staff and prisoners accused of assault

Dhar: An incident of assault with a convicted prisoner has come to light in Dhar District Jail on Monday. The prisoner died in the jail. Here, when the relatives came to know about the death of the prisoner, then on Tuesday, the relatives created ruckus outside the jail. At the same time, it is being told that there is a lot of anger among the prisoners inside the jail. Slogans were being raised by the prisoners inside the jail. At the same time, the prisoners did not eat food till 12 noon.
Jail staff and prisoners accused of assault
According to the information, Hanumantya, a resident of village Hanumantya, resident of Bheru, father Bagdiram, was sentenced to 11 years of rigorous imprisonment by the Second Additional Sessions Judge Sardarpur on November 26, 2019, while passing the decision in the case of 366 and 376. On February 11, 2022, the prisoner was transferred from Central Jail Indore to Dhar District Jail for getting ITI training. Demand for Judicial Inquiry

Here, in this case, Jail Superintendent RR Dangi says that at the time of closure of the jail on Monday evening, the staff and the jailer were brought out from the barrack in a state of unconsciousness due to poor health of prisoner Bheru. After this he was sent to the district hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead. He told that a judicial inquiry is being demanded by the inmates of the jail. Action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in the investigation.
