Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Police has received the First Prize (Platinum) Award in the category "Digital Initiative at Grassroot Level" for the "Digital India Award 2022" organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, announced by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on the website of "Digital India" on Wednesday. done on This award is given for providing digital service. On receiving the said award, Madhya Pradesh Police Chief Director General of Police Mr. Sudhir Kumar Saxena expressed happiness and congratulated the team of the State Crime Records Bureau. The nomination process for the Digital India Award was done online in which nominations were received from all over India. After being shortlisted in the process of nomination, ADG SCRB Chanchal Shekhar and AIG CCTNS Mrs. Pranjali Shukla gave a presentation of e-deliberation app before the jury in New Delhi.
The award was presented by His Excellency the President of India Mrs. Draupadi Murmu at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 7th January 2023. ADG Mr. Chanchal Shekhar of Madhya Pradesh State Crime Records Bureau and his team included AIG Mr. Hemant Chauhan, AIG Mrs. Pranjali Shukla, Inspector Mrs. Indra Namdev and Head Constable Mr. Surendra Raghuvanshi will be given for their remarkable use of e-Vivechna app and for taking initiative. Nominations for the award are made by the administrative institutions of the Center and the States for the Digital India Award. The process of nomination, screening etc. for the award is done online. The Digital India Awards are organized every two years by the National Informatics Center (NIC) under the Ministry of Electronics and IT. This award is given for providing services using information and communication technology and for doing administrative work in an excellent manner through digital medium.
ADG Mr. Chanchal Shekhar said that the work of police stations has been digitized through CCTNS. In order to implement the concept of Smart (Sensitive, Mobile, Alert, Reliable and Tech Savvy) policing, the Madhya Pradesh Police has developed and made available the E-Vivechna app as a digital tool to the policemen at the field level. Investigators can discuss in real time on the spot with the help of tablets, which has brought transparency and quality in crime investigation. With the help of this app, investigators can directly feed the scene details such as photographs, videos, statements of witnesses, physical coordinates of the scene and case diary in CCTNS. Till date, more than 90724+ case diaries have been submitted in 24,231+ cases through this app.
