FIR registered against SDOP Priyanka Karcham and TI, Karcham did enquiry in deceased Advocate Anurag Sahu's suicide

Mayana, Guna: In the case of beating of a young man in the police station, a case has been registered against SDOP Priyanka Karcham, station in-charge SI CP Dixit for assault, abusing and violating the law being a government servant. According to the petitioner Chhotu Kherua in the court, his brother was abducted by 4 people and then he was murdered. The police did not register a case of murder but registered a suspicious death in the merge register and termed it as a case of suicide. While the family members said that Batu was murdered. His brother also saw 4 people taking him away. When the FIR was not registered, on June 3, at the time of his death, Batu's father gave an application to the Mayana police station in-charge, in which he said that his son had been murdered. Even after this, the police did not register an FIR for the murder. Earlier on June 2, the application was also submitted to the SP. Following the instructions of the SP, the Mayana police called everyone to the police station on 13th June to give their statement. This is where the incident happened with Chhotu. He alleges that the then SDOP Priyanka Karcham, station in-charge TI CP Dixit and other policemen assaulted him. Priyanka Karcham slapped him by holding his hair and other policemen thrashed him with belts. Everyone beat him for changing his statement and also abused him. According to Priyanka Karcham, other policemen also electrocuted her and made her run away threatening to kill her.
On June 13, the police chased everyone away from there after beating them. After this, on the same day Chhotu applied for medical examination in the court. In his application, he said that the police assaulted him by forcing him to change his statement. That's why his medical examination should be done. His medical examination was done on the orders of the court. In the examination report, the doctor opined that the injuries were of simple nature, inflicted by some hard object. After the medical, the court ordered registration of a case against both the police officers.
