Iqbal Maidan Name Change Controversy in Bhopal, BJP claims Iqbal proposed Pakistan in the Allahabad session

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh- BJP leader Surendra Sharma has written a letter to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to name the Iqbal Maidan in the capital Bhopal after the freedom fighters of the country. Surendra Sharma has written in the letter that the country is celebrating the 75th anniversary of independence. Unfortunately a ground in Bhopal is also named after Mohammad Allama Iqbal. This is where Allama Iqbal, who, while being the President of the Muslim League, had proposed Pakistan in the Allahabad session of the Muslim League on 29 December 1930, said that I would like to see Punjab, North West Frontier Province, Sindh and Balochistan as one nation.
In this letter, Surendra Sharma has further written that this person may have been a nationalist once, but in the last period of his life, he became a factor in the partition of India. Now, while on one hand BJP Mohammad Allama Iqbal is telling the factor of partition, on the other hand Congress is saying that if BJP leaders worked, they would not have to do name politics.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, the BJP leader has written that Allama Iqbal was not only the President of the Muslim League but also became the reason for the partition of India. He also has the status of a national poet in Pakistan. Therefore, it is a humble request to you that the name of Iqbal Maidan of Bhopal should be changed after the name of any independent fighter of the country. In this way, he has demanded to name the Iqbal ground after the freedom fighters.
BJP diverting from issue
Congress Vice President Congress Media Department Ajay Singh Yadav has said that today the people in the country are in bad shape. These people do not want to talk on issues like inflation, unemployment. When it came to changing the name, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had also formed the government together with the Muslim League. Why don't you talk about it? Wanting to deviate from the main issue of the public, hence doing this kind of politics.
