Guna: In the case of making objectionable remarks on Maharishi Valmiki, the creator of Ramayana, a case has been registered against the famous poet Munawwar Rana in other sections including City Kotwali Section 505. Since the FIR had already been registered against Rana in Lucknow, in such a situation, after doing a rustic drain in City Kotwali, Hazratganj district has been sent to Lucknow for further investigation.
It is noteworthy that Valmiki Samaj and BJP leaders under the leadership of State Minister Sunil Malviya of BJP Aja Morcha submitted a memorandum to the district administration against poet Rana for comparing the Taliban to Maharishi Valmiki. During this, an application was made in the City Kotwali police station for the demand of FIR against the poet Rana.
