MP Govt to soon implement the parking policy, strategy chalked out to arrange future parking

Madhya Pradesh: In view of the increasing number of vehicles in the cities, the Madhya Pradesh government will soon implement the parking policy. Its draft has been prepared. In this, a strategy has been chalked out to arrange parking for the future across the state. Under this, the parking fee will be fixed on the basis of the costlier land in the cities. At the time of purchase of the vehicle, the customer will also have to specify sufficient space to park the vehicle near it. There will be no auto and bus stop within 75 meter radius of the parking lot so that the traffic system is not disrupted. Urban bodies will have to take permission from the authority to make parking lots for more than 100 vehicles.
Under the National Urban Transport Policy, the MP government has made a parking policy. In this, parking on the side of the roads has been completely banned. Space reserved for parking while constructing a multi-storey building, space for private parking will be ensured in the layout of the building permit. The MP government is working on a policy to increase revenue from parking lots. In such a situation, the practice of free parking for private vehicles will end. Due to shortage of items with the urban bodies, multi-storey parking will be constructed on PPP mode in congested areas. Apart from this, many markets will be connected with park and ride facility, under which entry of private vehicles will be stopped in the markets. Citizens will get facilities like cycle, e-cycle, e-rickshaw etc. after parking their vehicle in the parking lot so that they can go and come back. Apart from this, digital mode of fee collection will be encouraged, in which instead of cash, rupees will be automatically deducted from the account.
