Rewa/Bhopal: Jail Headquarters Bhopal has taken action regarding the arbitrariness going on inside Rewa Central Jail. If sources are to be believed, on September 1, the Jail Headquarters has issued a letter to Ravi Shankar Singh, Deputy Jail Superintendent, Central Jail Rewa.
It is said that with immediate effect, he has been temporarily posted on special duty for government work at the jail headquarters. In such a situation, Central Jail Superintendent Rewa should relieve Ravi Shankar Singh with immediate effect. Also direct that he should be present at the jail headquarters without any delay.
What did the jail superintendent say
Jail Superintendent Satish Upadhyay said that Deputy Superintendent Ravi Shankar Singh has been attached to Jail Headquarters Bhopal due to indiscipline. He was posted in Rewa for 7 consecutive years, as well as complaints against him have reached the Home Minister and Jail Minister along with senior officials.
The prisoners who came out on August 15 had made serious allegations. It was claimed that a list of every item has been made inside. The jailers were secretly giving protection to anti-social elements. Action has been taken by taking cognizance of negligence towards work and previous complaints.
