Bhopal: 24-year-old Akanksha Maheshwari, a PG doctor in the pediatric department of Gandhi Medical College, committed suicide in her hostel room on Wednesday. She gave her life by injecting four injections of anesthesia medicine together into her body. Police has received a suicide note from the spot. In which she wrote that I am not that strong. Can't handle the stress.
The last time at seven in the morning, she called her department and said that she would not come on duty due to ill health. Police is investigating the case.
Kohefiza TI Vijay Singh Sisodia said that originally Gwalior resident Akanksha Maheshwari was in the first year of Pediatric Department in GMC. In the morning, she called her department and told that he was unwell. Will not come on duty.
The door of her hostel room was locked since morning. At around 7:30 in the evening, the security guard got suspicious when the door was not opened. He informed the staff about this. The staff saw that Akanksha was lying unconscious in the hostel. The police reached the spot and somehow opened the door of the room. After checking, the doctor declared Akansha dead.
Kohefiza police recovered a suicide note after searching the room which has been included in the investigation. Along with this, four injections and syringes have also been recovered. Station in-charge Sisodia told that the relatives of Akanksha Maheshwari have been informed about the incident. Panchnama of the dead body has been sent for postmortem. Postmortem will be done on Thursday in the presence of Akanksha's relatives. In this matter, talks are also being held with the students living with Akanksha.
Police has also received a suicide note of Akanksha from the spot. In this she has written that she is not that strong and is not able to bear that much stress. Akanksha has also apologized to her parents and friends in the suicide note. She has written that she is giving her life due to her personal reasons.
On the other hand, after getting information about this accident, State Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang reached the GMC hostel on Wednesday night. On reaching here, he inquired about the incident from the hostel warden and also interacted with the junior doctors.
