Bhopal police busts liquor supplier red handed with 90 boxes of English liquor along with truck

Illegal liquor cache caught by Katara Hills Police, confiscated goods worth Rs 28,64,000/- including truck
Bhopal: During the night patrol in Bhopal Katara Hills Police received a tip from a reliable informant that an icer truck is preparing to carry illegal liquor. After taking the witness along with him, informant gave the information and after checking the staff in front of SEZ College, an icer truck number RJ14GB-0909 was stopped, the vehicle was barely stopped by the police when the driver started running away leaving the truck. The driver was nabbed by the Katara Hills police along with goods filled in the truck in front of the witnesses, 90 boxes of English liquor were found hidden from the vorios of animal feed filled in it, which was not found to be with any valid document.
Arrest proceedings were taken on the spot as illegal liquor was found. Liquor worth Rs. 8.64,000 and truck costing Rs. 20,00,000. Thus, a total amount of Rs. 28,64,000 was confiscated from the possession of the accused. On return to the police station, the crime number 140/2022 section 34(2) of the Excise Act was registered and taken into consideration. After the legal process, the accused Vijay Soni was admitted to the jail. Vijay Soni father of Chaman Lal Soni age 44 years a resident of Anand Nagar Bhopal was nabbed by the Katara Hills Police of Bhopal.
