Attracting lakhs of students in the capital, no college/university under the A+ grade bracket in Bhopal

Bhopal: There are 536 government UG-PG degree colleges running in Madhya Pradesh, but out of these, only 173 colleges have been able to come under NAAC. Out of these, Madhav Art and Commerce College Ujjain has got A++ and Government TRS College Rewa has got A+ in the entire state. Only these two colleges have been able to make their place in these categories. Not a single college has been able to get A++ in Bhopal.
This is the situation when preparations are going on for two years to upgrade the colleges in MP and improve the NAAC grading. Provision has also been made for the budget. The main reason for lagging behind in MP is that the college still does not have the most important computer lab and practical lab and smart room of various subjects.
All these three things are included in the mandatory points for NAAC grading. However, the Higher Education Department has started the exercise of grading 100 new government colleges with NAAC by 2023 along with the existing 173. For this, the World Bank is developing with the help of the project and the National Higher Education Department. Many important works like making smart classrooms are being done in new colleges with public participation.
Grading of two colleges of Bhopal slipped
This year NAAC team came to total 5 colleges of Bhopal. Out of these, the MLB college that had an A grade could only get a B++. While there was B grade in Naveen College, he came to C. MVM also got stuck on B+ to B. Has saved Hamidia B+ and Gitanjali B. Nutan Girls College and Institute of Excellence is an A grade. BHEL is B++, AVM B and Shyamaprasad Mukherjee has B grade.
C and D grade colleges do not get grants
Grants are given by the UGC to such institutions for development. This grant is given on the basis of NAAC grading given to the institute. Till now the eligibility of grant has been given only to A and B grade colleges and universities. UGC does not give any grant to C and D grade colleges, so the colleges and universities applying for NAAC grading try to get A or B grade anyway.
