Rape accused Congress MLA son arrested from Maksi Ujjain, we on a flea since 6 months

Ujjain: The police has arrested Karan, son of Congress MLA from Badnagar, Ujjain, Murli Morwal, who was absconding for more than 6 months in the rape case. The police arrested him from near Maksi in Ujjain district on Tuesday morning. Police will present him in court. A 23-year-old girl had filed a rape case against Karan on April 2, 2021. According to the girl, Karan made him drink the cold drink mixed with intoxicants. After that the rape was done. Six days ago, Home Minister Narottam Mishra had given an ultimatum due to the delay in the arrest. He had said that he should appear in two days or else he would take such action that it would become an example in Madhya Pradesh. After the order of the Home Minister, Indore IG had increased the reward amount from 15 thousand to 25 thousand rupees. A few days ago, the Indore police had brought Karan's brother Shivam to Indore for police interrogation, but the police did not get any concrete information.
