Two unknown accused booked for committing fraud of one lakh in the name of cleaning gold and silver jewellery in the capital

Bhopal: Two unknown accused along with the family living in Minal Residency located in Ayodhya Nagar area of the capital committed a fraud of one lakh in the name of cleaning gold and silver jewellery. The incident happened on Monday afternoon. On receiving the complaint, the police have registered a case of cheating and started searching for the unknown accused.
According to information received from the Ayodhya Nagar Police, two unknown accused reached the door of an elderly woman named Abha Srivastava, living in New Minal Residency, on Monday afternoon. They pretended to sell gold and silver cleaning powder. Told the woman that she can check by bringing her old jewellery.
The accused first showed a silver anklet after cleaning it in powder and shining it. After this Abha Srivastava got under confidence. Taking out the precious gold and silver ornaments from the cupboard, he gave them to both the unknown accused for cleaning. After a while, one of the accused asked for water to drink. To take it, Abha Srivastava went towards the kitchen of the house. After some time, the accused took them out of the water and returned their gold and silver jewellery. The accused said that the powder is still applied, so the goods have been kept inside the box, so that it does not get spoiled due to air. Open the box after a while and see. After opening victim saw there were jewellery missing in the box.
Saying this, the accused fled from the spot. When the woman opened the box after a while, it was empty, after which she realized that she had been cheated. Abha Srivastava informed about this to the Ayodhya Nagar Police. Ayodhya Nagar police station in-charge Nilesh Awasthi told that in this case the recording of nearby CCTV cameras has been seen. The accused are seen running away from the bike. His search continues.
