Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: A seminar was organized at PTRI on September 1 with the officials of the insurance company. A total of 30 officers of 11 insurance companies participated in this seminar. In this, the difficulties being faced in making insurance claim cases in road accidents and sending the cases to the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal and to the concerned insurance company were discussed in time. In this, instructions have been issued to all the police station in-charges through the Superintendents of Police of all the districts to prepare the information of the victims and injured in the prescribed format at a speedy speed and send them to the District Motor Accident Tribunal and to the concerned insurance company through email. has gone. This will facilitate the accident affected persons to get the claim amount at a faster pace. Now all the police station in-charge will have to send the information of the vehicles involved in the accident and the injured persons through email within 48 hours of the accident and within 50 days by attaching the necessary documents mentioning the facts found in the investigation, the Interium Report Tribunal through email. And send it to the insurance company. Similarly, a detailed accident report will have to be sent mentioning the facts of the entire investigation of the case within 90 days.

The officials of the insurance company apprised about the difficulties being faced in the claim cases. At the same time, in some districts, the wrong vehicles and wrong drivers were asked to fill the information about their involvement in the accident, delay in registering the FIR and take prompt action against the criminal persons by doing a quick investigation in the fraudulent insurance claim case. In this regard, instructions have been issued to the Superintendents of Police of all the districts to investigate and take action against those making fake cases as per rules.

In the seminar, Additional Director General of Police  G Janardhan, Assistant Inspector General of Police Smt. Manjulata Khatri and  Manoj Kumar Rai addressed the delegates.
