On the 10th day of the International Violence Against Women fortnight, women/girls were made aware by safety tips
Bhopal: It is worth mentioning that the general public is being made aware by running public dialogue and public awareness campaign in the entire Bhopal police station area from November 25 for women's safety and awareness by Bhopal city police.
1- In the same sequence yesterday, on 04/12/22, Police Station Nishatpura's Women's Help Desk in-charge Inspector Urmila Yadav, Deputy Inspector Monika and Child Welfare Officer Sukhbir Yadav, female constable Surbhi Sharma, started the second of the fortnight on the occasion of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. On the day, Police Commissionerate Bhopal started awareness campaign by going to Genius Higher Secondary School Sathiya Welfare Society in Vishwakarma Nagar, located in police station area, where 80 school girls, 10 women staff and other staff were present and in Sathiya Welfare Society Director Smriti ji along with 50 artisan women participated on this occasion to spread awareness about crimes against girls and women, along with information about legal provisions and protection being given to girls and women by Police Commissionerate Bhopal. Information about various platforms was given, as well as information about crimes against women, Domestic Violence Protection Act, Indian Penal Code was given as well. Pamphlets were pasted informing about the helpline number.
2- In the same sequence, women and children were informed about the Protection of Domestic Violence Act under Sardar Patel School Karond Chauraha under Thana Nishatpura area and information about helpline numbers was given to post the pamphlet on social media. It was told so that maximum publicity could be spread and the signatures of women and girls were also made on the resolution flex, as well as entry was made in the visitor's book in which urja desk in-charge inspector Urmila Yadav child welfare officer Sukhbir Yadav sub-inspector Monika Gaur, women constable Surbhi Sharma Mamta Anita were present. 150 girls, 80 boys, 20 teachers were present.
3- Police station Shahpura's sub-inspector Mona Jadaun ASI Narmada Kurmi constable Santosh went to Baba Nagar Shahpura and took public dialogue and distributed pamphlets and gave information about all the helpline numbers and after taking feedback in the visitor's book, all the present people supported the campaign on the banner. 4- Organized a public dialogue at Kerwa Dam Neelbang in Thana Ratibang area, in which women and children were given detailed advice about helpline numbers 1090, 1098, 100, 10582, 100, 112 1930, pamphlets were distributed and feedback was taken in the visitor's book. But at 2-3 places public dialogue was taken under the awareness campaign.
