Jabalpur: The tale of a family’s dispute which led to murder and suicide

Jabalpur. There is shocking news from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. Sensation has spread in the area due to a murder and suicide here. The brother-in-law, fed up with the domestic dispute, first strangled the daughter-in-law and then stabbed the wife with a knife. After this, he hanged himself by writing a suicide note. The condition of the woman is critical after being hit by the knife. The police have registered a case. The incident is from Kanjai village of Gosalpur, 50 km from the district. The reason for the incident is being told as a domestic dispute.
Sihora SDOP Shrutkirti Somvanshi said that on Thursday afternoon, police got information from Kanjai village that murder and suicide had taken place at Mahendra Patel's house. As soon as the information was received, TI Sanjay Bhalavi reached the spot along with the team. The team found that the body of 35-year-old Mahendra Patel was hanging from a rope on the hook of the ceiling. In another room of the house, his 32-year-old wife Nandini was lying in a pool of blood. A vegetable cutting knife was kept near his body. Nandini had several stab wounds on her stomach, chest and throat. In a room, the body of Roshni, 24-year-old wife of Mahendra's younger brother Keshav Patel, was lying. The police were surprised to see this scene.
Police found this suicide note
Police also found a suicide note from Mahendra's pocket from the spot. It is written in the note- 'He used to have frequent disputes with his wife. There was still a fight going on. During this daughter-in-law Roshni and Nandini were present. During the altercation, Roshni intervened. Angrily strangled Roshni. On this his wife Nandini came, then stabbed him with a knife. After the death of both, he is also committing suicide. Only I myself am responsible for this incident.' Mahendra felt that his wife had also died.
