Bhopal: Retired officer of WRD duped 2 lakhs in the name of fast tag

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: At the behest of cyber fraud, a retired water resource officer of Bhopal found it expensive to disclose bank and OTP information. By the time he could understand something, the accused emptied his and his wife's account in the name of updating the fast tag. About Rs 2 lakh was withdrawn from his account by the accused by depositing it in other accounts.

77-year-old Omprakash Chaudhary, resident of 101A Shahpura, is retired as an officer from the Water Resources Department. He told that the fast tag of his and his wife's car had expired. He called the customer care number of FASTag to get it updated, but the call did not work. About 30 minutes later he got a call.

The accused said that he is speaking from fast tag. Your fast tag has expired. Update it. Omprakash told that he had no idea of ​​the fraud. The accused said that keep doing as I say. Otherwise it will be messed up. After that the accused inquired about their bank account and OT number one after the other.
