Bhopal: Ratibad police on Monday evening during a press conference with the media made a sensational revelation by busting Christian conversion in village Kekadia. Police arrested three people including Christian religious leader Hiralal Jamod Adivasi. The accused was getting this religious conversion done in the village for about five years in the name of home distress, phantom obstruction and treatment of the patient.
After getting information about the case, the police took action in this matter and conducted raids. At that time the police let him off with a warning. Everyday 40 to 50 people used to come to the house of the accused to pray. The police is trying to find out from where they were getting funding and how many people they have converted. Although the information of the number is being collected. This work was going on so smoothly, a board was also put up prohibiting the entry of ghosts, love jihad people and those who convert.
According to the Ratibad police, information was received on Sunday night that exorcism and treatment of diseases was being done in the house of Christian religious leader Heera Lal Jamod in a house in Kakadia village. There was an argument with the woman over some matter, she told this to her brotherwl who serves in the Indian army, he had given information in the police station Ratibad.
He was praying the Christian religion. When a police team reached the spot regarding this, a large number of people gathered there. Many people complained to the police about this, that when they come daily for the treatment of their sick, then these people give them all kinds of temptations, starting from money, talking about conversion.
On this, the police called Dalchand Banjara, the sarpanch of Kakadia village, and by giving information about the whole matter, opened many secrets in front of the police. On this, the police made the Sarpanch of the village a complainant in this case, accused Heeralal Jamod (26), his accomplice Gabbar Singh (25) and Ram Singh (23) FIR has been made under MP Religious Freedom Act, 506 and 34.
Villagers had complained about this type of conversion of the accused Hira Lal Jamod five years ago during the tenure of DSP Aditi Bhavsar, the in-charge of the police station at that time. At that time the matter was pacified after understanding it. After that, the accused were pressurizing the people to convert them by promising benefits in terms of job, money and illness. It was unveiled on Sunday. Religious texts and photographs of Christianity have been recovered from him. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Shrutkirti Somvanshi said that the target of the accused Hiralal Jamod was tribal women and women who used to live at their homes in the name of ghosts, home distress and illness. Used to force them to convert. He was converting many people. He used to lure them with money and job. Kakadia and women from nearby villages used to come to his house. He has got many people converted, is getting to know about the number. Many people have also returned back to Hinduism. Accused Hiralal Jamod told during interrogation that he had studied and learned all this in Indore five years ago. After that he came to the village in Bhopal and started doing this work. Both his companions were also involved in this work, they used to go from village to village and bring women to him by tricking them in variou ways.
