Cyber desk to open in every police station in MP, 10000 policemen to be trained

Madhya Pradesh: In view of increasing complaints of cyber crime in Madhya Pradesh, cyber desk will be set up in every police station. This work will be done within two years. For this, 10,000 policemen have also been trained. In the second phase, training will be given to some more policemen. The police headquarters has started preparations for this. 972 police stations have been identified. Of these, the work of making desks will be done in half of the police stations by 2023 and in the rest by 2024. Officials of the police headquarters say that if the problems are resolved in the districts themselves, then the state cyber cell will not have much work load. Complainants will also not have to wander.
Due to the absence of such a system, there is a delay in taking action. The longer the delay, the less are the chances of the culprit being caught and the money returned. The current situation is that only about 10 percent people get the amount back after the FIR. Cyber crimes related to Internet media (Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram etc.) such as hacking someone's account, creating fake IDs also lead to delay in arresting the accused. Officials of the Police Headquarters said that in 2022, about 90 thousand complaints related to cyber have come.
Complaints are bound to increase in the years to come. In such a situation, the cyber desk will be of great help to the complainants. Trained policemen will be able to immediately understand the seriousness of the complaint and action will also start quickly. Call detail record analyzer tool will also be kept near the desk. Computer with internet will be available. Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra told that ADG Yogesh Deshmukh has prepared its outline. It will start in 2023.
