Bhopal police foot marches after CM Shivraj’s instructions over illicit liquor, 250 people held

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: Following the instructions of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the police remained in action on the second day i.e. on Wednesday as well over illegal liquor vendors, liquor mafias and people drinking liquor on public places. The police caught more than 250 people who were drinking in public places or in their vehicles. These include those who were sitting in the courtyards. The police also searched 36 gangs. The police came into action on Tuesday evening in the Police Commissionerate. Police started searching simultaneously in all the four zones of DCP. 11 people were arrested with illegal liquor and action was taken under Excise Section 34. Police have also arrested two miscreants with weapons. Vehicles were seized after registering a case of drunken driving against 11 drivers. Now their cases will be presented in the court. The police also summoned those people against whom preventive action was taken. The police have also nabbed 15 permanent and arrest warranties during the search. Additional Police Commissioner Sachin Atulkar says that the police action continued on Wednesday as well. The police searched the goons and miscreants and 36 criminal gangs. Apart from this, patrolling was also done by the police till late night in all the multis and slums. Especially in such areas of Habibganj, Kamalanagar, TT nagar, Shahpura and Ashoka Garden. Police have also taken out foot march on such areas to aware citizens.
