12 people die of rain & thunderstorms in the State along with a 6 yr old girl

Bhopal(Madhya pradesh): Twelve people died in rain and thundershowers with lightning in the state in last 24 hours, according to meteorological department report and local sources.
In Bhind, an elderly woman and her grandson died after house collapsed due to heavy rainfall. A six-year-old girl died in Sagar district due to lightning while three others including her mother and sisters were injured in Dehri village in Sagar district.
A man died in Raisen after house collapsed due to heavy rain. Similarly, two died in Guna and Dindori each while one each in Shivpuri, Mandla, Shahdol, according to meteorological department report.
Lightning with heavy spell of rain is likely to occur in many areas in Madhya Pradesh. Senior scientist of meteorological department Ved Prakash Singh said, “People should be alert.”
Rain and thundershowers with lightning are likely to occur in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Gwalior, Chambal, Rewa, Sagar, Shahdol and Jabalpur divisions in next 24 hours.
Yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in Narmdapuram, Sehore, Raisen, Ujjain, Dhar, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Dindori, Anuppur, Sagar, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar districts.
In last 24 hours, Sausar recorded 22cm rainfall while Navibag and Shamshabad recorded 14cm and Bhopal recorded 13cm rainfall. Similarly, Shyampur recorded 12cm and Moharkheda recorded 11cm, Rehati recorded 10cm rainfall.
