Crime review meeting of all the districts was taken by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan through virtual meeting on 8-10-22. Instructed to take action against those who create disturbance by drinking alcohol in storage, transportation and public places, as well as to do intensive checking of dumps, hotels and shops around schools and colleges and to 'crush' the gang involved in drunkenness. .
In pursuance of the order, till late night on 9-10-2022, by the police station in-charge of the city and countryside, 2 accused were raided with illicit drug ganja, 33 accused with illicit liquor and 1 in cafe/hookah bar. While taking action against 3 accused, 5 kg, 200 grams of ganja worth about Rs 1 lakh, and 281 liters of raw, 541 pav of country/English liquor worth Rs 50 thousand and 2 hookah sets and 4 tobacco flavors were confiscated.
Police station in-charge Tilwara Shri Laxman Jharia said that Ajay Singh Rajput, 38 years old, was caught red-handed with 3 kg 700 grams of ganja by raiding the Crusher Basti Sagada on the information of a reliable informer on 9-10-2022. . While taking action against the accused under Section 8, 20 NDPS Act, inquiries are being made in relation to where and how the said ganja was obtained.
Similarly, police station in-charge Ghamapur Shri Chandrakant Jha told that during the morning of 9-10-22 today, 30-35 year old youth started running towards Adhartal Shobhapur Bridge after seeing police vehicle on the road in front of Bhootnath temple from Patrolling Kanchghar to Testing Road. Police station in-charge Bargi Mr. Ritesh Pandey said that on the information of a reliable informer on the night of 9-10-22, Nandu Burman, aged 34 years, was given 85 liters of raw liquor and Nachan Burman, aged 35 years, resident of village Khirhaini. Action was taken against both the accused under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act, while catching Khirhani red-handed with 60 liters of raw material.
Police station in-charge Omati Shri Praful Srivastava said that on the information of a reliable informer on the night of 8-10-22, Jyoti alias Sarita Sonkar, aged 40 years, resident of Gurdi Paan Bazar, had 50 pavs of English and 28 feet from the possession of Bharatipur. While confiscating pav country liquor, action was taken against the accused under section 34(1) of the Excise Act.
Police station in-charge, Gorakhpur Shri SPS Baghel said that on the night of 9-10-22, on the information of a reliable informer, while raiding the Gorakhpur Bazaar Hidden Cafe, two youths were caught while drinking hookah, both in their name Karan Deol age 21 Year resident Radhaswami Satsang Bhawan Amber Vihar-1 Hathital and the other named Sagar Bairagi age 19 years resident of Nai Basti Subhashnagar Ranjhi, both of them on inquiry asked hotel operator Guntas Singh resident B2/2 Avatar Complex Gorakhpur on the behest of hookah bar.
