Bhopal Police Commissioner Makrand Deoskar chairs meeting to ensure peaceful celebrations of upcoming festivals

Bhopal: A meeting of the organizing and security committee was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Bhopal Police Commissioner Makrand Deoskar. The committee discussed various arrangements to be made for the upcoming festivals including Holi, Rangpanchami and Shabe Barat.
During the meeting, Commissioner of Police Deoskar assured that adequate police force will be arranged at various intersections and sensitive places during the festivals. He also warned that any anti-social element who disturbs the peace will not be spared.
Additional Commissioner of Municipal Administration, NP Singh, shared that the corporation will ensure adequate water, cleanliness and other arrangements during the festivals. Meanwhile, Dr. Aushaf Shahmiri Khurram of the Muslim Festival Committee talked about the importance of not cutting power during festivals.
Social worker Pramod Nema emphasized on making traditional arrangements on festivals and calling a meeting of the peace committee. The participants also demanded strict action against those who perform stunts on two-wheelers and improve the traffic system around all the cemeteries.
It was agreed upon by all parties involved to celebrate the festivals with love and peace. During Holi, the message of not forcibly putting colors and gulal on anyone and not fighting amongst themselves will be conveyed.
The meeting was attended by DCP Riyaz Iqbal, Vijay Khatri, all ADCPs, ACP station in-charges, municipal corporation officials, electricity company officials, district administration officials and other department officials.
